Cuvettes:
A cuvette is a little vessel that is used to fill or hold samples for spectroscopic measurement. The liquid is able to be measured by spectrophotometer as light beams pass through the reflect off of the particles suspended in the solution. The absorbance, transmittance, and/or fluorescence are measured by the spectrophotometer. This is known as a chemiluminescent reaction in clinical chemistry. A solvent is a liquid in which solute is dissolved, creating a solution. An assay is a test or chemical reaction that occurs in the cuvette or reaction vessel.
